Snow Goose

It's like being inside a snow globe to watch vast flocks of snow geese spiral down from the sky while surrounded by a cacophony of honking. These raucous, white-and-black geese may cover the ground in a snowy blanket as they munch their way over fallow cornfields or marshes. You could see the "Blue Goose," a colour variation with a black shape and a white head. Snow Geese are currently among the most numerous birds on the continent because of a sharp increase in population.

Snow Goose Specifications

Snow Goose ID

In their wintering areas across the United States, look for snow geese in broad fields and bodies of water. You may also see them flying above when migrating. During their spring and autumn migration, the geese will pause in open environments along the four central flyways in North America. The geese will be evident if they are there because of the cacophony of honks that will follow a sizable flock on the ground or in the air.
